Privacy policy
Version 2026-11-v2. Effective 8 November 2026.
Who we are
A Class Talent runs the talent platform at aclasstalent.com. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles. Contact us at hello@aclasstalent.com for any privacy matter.
What we collect
We collect what you give us when you build your profile. This covers your name, email, phone, city and suburb. It covers your skills, experience, languages, equipment, availability and rate expectations. It covers your portfolio links, any files you upload and the work you submit for a project.
We also record where your application came from, such as a social media group or referral link. We record your consent choices with the date and your IP address. We keep a log of messages we send you.
Why we collect it
We use your details to match you with projects and opportunities. We use them to arrange interviews and paid projects with businesses using the platform. We use them to contact you about those opportunities.
We only contact you about future projects if you agreed to that. You can change that choice in your profile at any time.
Being discovered
Your profile starts private. Only our team sees it.
If you choose to be discovered, we may show businesses your profile card. The card shows your first name, the first letter of your surname, your city, your headline, skills, experience, availability, any rates you gave, your introduction and the photos and videos in your portfolio.
Businesses never see your email, mobile, suburb, full surname, CV or private documents on a card. We share contact details only when a booking is agreed and you have said yes.
Cards reach businesses through private links that expire. You can switch back to private at any time in your profile, and you disappear from every live link straight away.
Who sees it
Our team sees your details. A business you are being considered for may see your profile and work. Our service providers process data for us. They are Cloudflare for hosting and storage, our email provider for sending messages and Google Calendar when an interview is booked. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
If your application does not go ahead and you did not ask us to keep your details, we delete them after a set period. That period is 180 days unless we tell you otherwise. If you asked us to keep your details, we keep them until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
You can see and correct your details in your profile. You can withdraw consent to future contact there too. You can ask us to delete your details from your profile or by email. We respond within 30 days.
How we protect it
Data travels over HTTPS. Files are stored privately and only shown through short lived links to authorised people. Admin access needs a password and every sensitive action is logged.
Complaints
Email us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Data breaches
If a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the OAIC as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
